Tongsai Bay is a fabulous resort, we booked a seaview room in the main hotel but were ugraded to a seaview cottage which was very nice,it was nice hearing the sea every minute of teh day along with the beautiful sunrises. The staff is very friendly and helpful and will go out of their way to make things perfect for you. The resturants had very nice Thai and Western food choices. The pool was wonderful, our 4 yr old had a great time learning to swim. Only negative comment is that the beach is grainy and hard on the feet, but this is out of their control. The best part of Tongsai Bay is its remote location, it very quiet and a peaceful place to relax, nightlife is a short 10 min drive (400baht) away. Planning to return next year. After lots of research booked Tongsai as thought it was very good value for money. We were not disappointed. Had sea view villa with own pool that was FANTASTIC (4 poster day bed, outside double bath, sun loungers and totally private) and it was still cheaper than Six Senses basic! Hotel staff fantastic and nothing was too much trouble. The little touches made Tongsai really special eg bottle of bubbly on our 25th anniversary, fruit basket stocked regularly, freshly baked biscuits every day along with an afternoon snack and evening sweets! Pool staff were unobtrusively attentive proving constant iced water and minty fresh cold towels! Private beach although fine shingle was beautiful and kayaks always available. Restaurant Food great although prices high compared to local basic restaurants. Local restaurants are a 15 to 20 minute walk away (tourch supplied in villa) or a short taxi ride which hotel are happy to arrange (equivalent to about £2). Definitely 5 star and a hotel we will recommend to our friends. Thank Tongsai for a great stay.

Wonderful hotel. Everything is so great. Beautiful rooms with seaview. the service was excellent. The food was supberb. We enjoye our stay very much. And would definely recomend it to others. The only thing that I didn t llike was that the beach does not have white soft sand but small tiny stones,but overall this is a wonderful hotel. we loved every minute there.

This was the the most relaxing holiday we have had for a long time. Staff were the friendlioest people always willing to go the extra yard to assist you during the stay. Magic location.

A well deserved 2012 Certificate of Excellence from Trip Advisor. Our stay at Tongsai Bay clearly exceeded our (very high) expectations on most aspects. Our cottage suite had fabulous seaviews and was meticulously serviced throughout our stay, despite the hotel being full (thank you Mr Kiat for the upgrade). Thai Restaurant (chef chom) proved excellent and we were remarkably treated by restaurant staff. Highly recommended.

A very nice place to stay. The room needed a few minor repairs. A great location but a little far from Chaweng or Bophut so had to get taxis to/from town. To far and hot to walk! Staff were excellent. Hotel restaurant was expensive compared to restaurants in Chaweng and Bophut.

very nice hotel. very quiet. we stayed at the sea front cottage and found the romm very comfortable. food is good. friendly staff. private beach is nice, but the sea was not calm enough. not worth to go for the beach from Turkey. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

This resort is a honeymooner s paradise if quiet pampering times is what you are after. definitly 5 star with the service, and the staff are so friendly and kind. The grounds are gorgeous and well maintained. Nothing is ever a problem and staff are always happy to help. Beach does have very coarse sand but does not stop using beach and is not harsh on the feet. Restaurant food is amazing with moderate pricing. We stayed in one of the cottage suites which has recently been renovated. My wife and i were amazed with the size of the split level cottage and views are breath taking. The resort is massive and there are golf buggies to take you around.Some of the walks to the suites can be tiring as they are situated on hill sides and have some steep inclines. Main part of samui is a 300b trip and about 15 min. Overall well worth the stay. [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]

My wife and I had a spectacular time at Tongsai Bay. The resort itself was spectacular, rooms were great, beach was beautiful and facilities were top notch. More importantly, however, is the service from the staff - impeccable! They couldnt have done anymore for us during our stay. Not only were they extremely polite and attentive, but they went the extra step where possible to make our stay super special. For one, the birthday cake they left for Laura s birthday - we hadnt even mentioned it to staff, I cant think of any other hotel Ive stayed at even considering doing such a thing. Full marks to Tongsai Bay, we highly recommend it to anyone wanting a truly relaxing and indulgent getaway. Thank you! korb khun.

The hotel is really superb ,we reserved a grand villa and the sea view is incredible ,i ve never seen something like that ! The restaurant are good and the chef chom s thai restaurant is fantastic for a very reasonnable price, we really enjoyed it . the only bad point is that the beach is not really good and there are very big waves ,so the swim in the sea can be dangerous .There is a lot of steps too to acess to your bungalow ,so it was a bit difficult with our baby stroller ,but there is buggy for transportation inside the hotel domain . L hotel est superbe et le service top aussi .Nous avions reservé un tongsai grand villa ( chambre 502) et la vue était fantastique ,on voyait la mer turquoise à 360 degré . Les restaurants sont bons aussi ,surtout le restuarant thai ,chef chom, en plus ce n est pas cher pour la qualité de la nourriture ! Nous avions une seule deception : la plage .Le sable était gros et faisait mal au pied et le mer est toujours très agitée dans la baie ,il y a toujours beaucoup de vague ( jusqu à 1 metre !)et la baignaide est souvent -sinon toujours pour les enfants ou les gens qui ne nagent pas très bien- dangereuse. Du coup on été surtout à la piscine [R24 integr.ERR:escaping]
